No shame in that.

I had to show John Hennessey how this all worked back in the day when the cars were first deliverd. We made a run down the 1/4 mile track in D when I noticed he didn't know about S so we had to make another run and improved the time by a couple tenths.

L99 is a whole new beast after a tune Aaron. It was literally a night and day difference just with the way the transmission acted after the tune.

I don't have an S on mine...so D mostly. Occasionally if I'm feeling like having a little fun, I'll put it in M

I'd say 70% M and 25% S and 5% D. Ya that sounds about right.

You have S (Sport Mode) when you put the shifter in M the S that appears on the DIC before you hit a paddle is S mode, you have to actuate one of the paddles before you are actually in M.

For me it's 90% in Sport mode ... I never use the paddles, as good as GM did programing the trans I think it best to just let the computer do the work. If I want to row gears, I jump in the SS ...

80% S, 20% M when I feel like having some fun. I never drive it in D though.

Ever since I put in my Solo exhaust the D mode is about as responsive as the S mode. I have been keeping it on S more lately as I seem to notice a slightly better fuel usage than D. Nothing scientific to it but it's the perception that matters. I will say that in S mode I can always use the buttons to shift manually and rev higher.

Track or strip? I've found it very useful on the track.

Put your shifter in "M". If you don't touch the tap-shifters and start moving, there should be a "S" to the left of your digital odometer.

Maybe once I'm all outta warranty and what-not I'll go this route if I still have it. A possibility will be to slap a Maggie on it too...then hafta tune. LoL! Just saw David's (Marine1991) LS3 conversion, I think he's up over 460RWHP now. I bet that's nice in M-mode.

I like the front-end conversion you got. Did you do the LS3 conversion, or headers/tune/etc? I wanna see how the new SMOG program is too before I mess with headers.
