Thumbs up WINTER ARRIVES @ 12:47 P.M. DEC 21/09

Winter officially arrives at 12:47 P.M. today
So you're asking yourself, "Why is he so happy?"
I'm so happy because this is the shortest day of the year, and from this day forward everyday will get longer. This positive outlook has to be maintained throughout the days of snow, and cold...we will eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel...SPRING!

Yeah, those F...... thieves at the SAAQ !!!!!, and you know, my '94 Z28 was exempt because of it's age..... You would think that the newer cars having better fuel economy, it would be the reverse

Anyhow...... when I do re-register, that extra cost will be removed ( at least most of it ), because my plates go from Nov30 - Nov30 ( 8 months road use ).

I'm just happy to see snow on the ground now. I like the winter, but hate looking at dead grass on frozen soil.

Wait... you guys have to take the plates off? Deregister it? I didn't know this. That sucks. I thought it was bad enough that Ontario is going to start using your HST model. I hope we don't adopt this too!

LOL, we don't need to deregester, or take any plates off

In Quebec, we have to renew our registrations on an annual basis ( the month of renewal depends on the first letter of your last name ), it just so happens that mine is always due on December 1. I don't register, I simply put the car in " Storage ". This allows me to defer the payment until I put the car back in use ( April ), and so I only pay for the next 8 months.

Not sure about the HST..... From my last purchase, I'm still paying GST ( 5%), and PST ( 7% )
