Buying an SS from a dealer?
When do you guys think you'd be able to buy an SS from a dealership without having to pre-order it?

Probably sooner than most of us will get our pre-orders. You are the target.... pre-orders are obviously being taken for granted. If I could buy one for MSRP or less anywhere in the country, I'd drop my 11/3 order like a hot rock, and I really think that is going to happen.

Haha I laugh at whoever buys one from ebay I'm not trying to buy one for 10,000$ markup lol, i'm thinking a litttle more around msrp?

Just got back 15 mins ago from looking at this red 2SS non-RS with a sun roof I could have probably bought today. Just came off the truck last night... Salesman says that the guy that pre-ordered it is getting cold feet and is likely not going to take it. So, I'd say if you don't mind doing a little work searching around, you wouldn't have to wait long at all.

last week a dealer here in corcoran had a black 2ss Rs auto with all the options exept moonroof for sale.
wanted 37k too bad i can't afford it yet. |

Gotta say the sunroof really brings out the car a lot when you sit in it. I noticed a big difference. If you order a car I would recommend the sunroof option.

Not to hijack but there is no more "PRE-ORDER" on a Camaro.
It's either buy out of "stock" or "order". Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

yea im waiting for dealers to get some SS in stock so i can go test drive and buy AT MSRP. Hopefully will happen before the end of the year.

just got a call today that a guy ordered a 2ss silver and it came in and the dealer unpackaged it and it pissed him off and he bought a vette instead.the car is for sale in va at jerrys chevrolet ( i believe)for msrp,so if you want on now there u go.looked at another dealer as well last night and he said he had 11 names to call to buy and all 11 guys backed out of the sale for their v-6 car.

a dealer I just left in Hudson, FL has a black 2SS/RS/auto with sunroof and polished wheels for sale, said it was their first preorder and the customer backed out. It's up for grabs at sticker, a bit over $37K. I'm sure with preorders backing out, with some searching, you could probably find one. I almost would have bought that one, but I want a 6M and no sunroof or polished wheels. I also want IBM, but I would *settle* for black...
