c5 corvette vs 2010 camaro L99
I wonder how these would stack up in straight line acceleration. Anybody have any experience with both?

depends on the vette & driver, too.
camaro might win if it's racing a c5 vert with the 3.15 rear

The Camaro should just walk away and forget about the thought of lining up against a Vette.

Actually most C5 Vette`s auto vette`s average 13.3 stock. So I would say if he was stock it would come down to who has the better reaction time and launch.

My roommate owns an'03 C5 Z06, stock. There's no way my car is gonna win in straight line. We went to the Mojave Mile and his car was always clocking 160+mph and my highest was 150.7mph in a standing mile. We go to Willow Springs and the Camaro is just too heavy try to out turn his Vette. I'll post videoz from this coming weekend Track Day, trying to keep up.

z06 is no comparison, but, like i said earlier, if you get a "heavy" C5 convertible with the highway-geared 3.15 rear end, the camaro has a chance in a short race from a dig

I actually raced my brother in law, he has a 99 corvette with K&N intake and tune, and i have an L99 with just tune and I got 2/5 races, from dead stop to 130 and 25 to 130,
whoever would step on it first would take the win

camaro pulls away easily.
because the middle aged man driving the corvette doesn't street race, because he will have a heart attack.
