Should i tune (chip) my camaro

hey everyone im trying to contemplate on if i should chip my car or not. its a 2010 l99. ive done a couple mods to it like long tube headers and CAI. It runs pretty good but i know i can get more out of her. also ive read that it will void my warranty if i chip it. any help on this subject will be appreciated. THANKS

I'm definitely not an expert on tuning. However, I've tuned 2 trucks and my camaro with hptuners. One thing I can say for certain is that the truck tunes I did had a lot more room for improvements than my camaro did. It seems the factory did a much better stock tune on the camaros (compared to the trucks). Since you have a few mods, there is definitely plenty of room for improvement. However, I think you will want a custom tune to get the most out of it.

Oh okay I thought a tune and a chip were the same. What are the differences between the two.

Is there even a "chip" for these cars? If there is, i wouldnt trust it. Dont mess around, get a real tune by a pro.

Since your an L99, a tune would do you good. Just the Trans tune alone can make the car feel like a whole new animal!
Since you have LT's and a CAI, you kinda need a tune to get the most of out your existing mods!

my biggest ? is will hurt my engine? I dont want to void my warranty and then something malfunction. In all seriousness whats the odds of something messing up on me? and a couple of people were saying if something goes wrong just put your factory tune back in it befor you go back to the dealer, but im pretty sure they can still check if there was a custom tune added.

tune= kiss your warranty good bye. and there is no tune the car. something goes wrong with it and tune it back to "stock" once a dealer flashes the ecu/bcm they will see its been tuned. i personally waited til i went over 36,000 miles on the car. but it REALLY does depend on your dealership! you can have a tune and they cant refuse warranty work on your headlight wiring harness lol

If you were worried about it, you'd have to wait till 5 yr/100k miles for your drivetrain warranty...your 36k mile warranty will not be void.
