Good bye Mustang. Hello Camaro!

Hello all. Recently traded in my 07 Mustang GT on a brand new 2013 Camaro 2SS with the six speed manual transmission, Hurst short throw shifter, sun-roof, HID headlamps, etc. Silver Ice Metallic exterior and black leather interior. Loving it so far, except for the clutch smell, which I am hoping will go away once the car breaks in. I am loving this car! Found the monotone paint scheme to be a little plain, so I put a stripe package on it. Not much for mods yet. Purchased a cargo net and just ordered some (6.2 L) emblems from Emblempro. Went with clear vinyl wrap on the front bumper, side mirrors and rocker panels to protect the paint. I have been lurking for awhile, enjoying all the excellent discussions and information sharing.

Congrats... If I may ask.. what swayed you to go to Camaro after having a Mustang? Had you owned one prior? I totally agree with your decision, just wanted to see what tipped the scale for you.

Got a smokin deal on the car and was looking for a change. I usually only keep my vehicles for a few years. I have owned two Mustangs, a 2005 Mustang convertible and the 2007 GT that I traded in on the Camaro. Loved both those Mustangs and would not hesitate to buy another. Not to sure about the styling of the 2015 Mustang though, the jury is still out on that.

This is my first Camaro.

Ha, ha! Thanks. I live on Vancouver Island, on the "wet coast", I mean west coast. Doesn't snow much here. Weather is very similar to Seattle. Grateful for that, otherwise I would be ditching those summer only Pirellis faster than Vladimer Putin can grab land.

Congrats, you will appreciate the HP increase over the Mustang. I'm with you on the 15 styling, it might grow on me.

I'm glad you noticed the clutch smell also, I thought it was just me. I really notice it if I'm backing into a parking stall, clutch, gas, clutch, gas, whewwwwww. I've learned to not give it quite so much gas during these manuvers in an effort to not burn my clutch.

Let's see some photos!
