Question Concept or Pre-production\Prototype?

There are some differences that we have seen obviously between the Concept Camaro and the Prototype. Just out of curiosity, and something to take time away from the long awaited Camaro production, which do you like better? The concept or the pre production model? Are there some things you wish they kept from the concept?

Some differences off the top of my head (not all of them, list them as you think of them):

- Engine, (LS2 in concept, as for the prototype - speculations only, however not the LS2 100%)
- Gas cap location
- Mirror design
- trunk lid
- tail light lens on some.
- door handle
- side light by front wheels
- sun roof (a option for production obviously)
- completely different interior
- Others not off the top of my head.

Two quick pictures:

Thoughts?

Preproduction. I prefer having mirrors I can see out of, a trunk I can put stuff in, door handles I can easily open, and other such luxuries.

I voted for the concept, since it looks better and I can't buy either one. But if the actual production model were in there, I would vote for it.

So far I'm undecided but leaning a little towards the concept. I wish I was leaning towards the pre production car for GM's sake, but I have to be honest.

Now that I accidentally erased my long drawn out message.......

prepro likes: ease of door handles, bigger trunk, easier HVAC controls and general appearance of dash

concept likes: wheel size, rear bumper, gas cap location, general stance, roof (still haven't seen a prepro w/ the mohawk roof yet.............), seats and stitching.

Those are the main points thus far....can't I just have a combination of both?!?!

You’re missing the selection in your poll for Production version… That's the one I would choose.

I voted for the pre-production version. I prefer the side view mirrors and interior. There were so many awesome surprises that came with the pre-production photos. And the 20+" rims looked a little weird looking on the concept.

Regarding the stance, I am not able to tell a difference. I remember Scott talking about how the wheel wells flared out more on the concept, but even after looking at pics of both cars from the same angle, I cannot see any difference.

Preproduction. The concept was gorgeous - but what's done is done. I'm not gonna drool all over the concept car while watching people racing around in their production cars.

A combination or the two. I prefer the rear bumper, the wheels, the fenders and the headlights of the concept, but the rest I prefer the pre-production.

I wish I still lived in Phoenix with my camera ready. I used to live a few miles from the GM proving grounds.

I prefer the rear bumper, side mirrors, interior, trunk opening and just about everything else on the pre-pro model better.

The only thing I think I like better on the concept is the grille. But didn't Scott say something about possibly different grilles for different trims?

Speaking of grilles, anyone think there will be an aftermarket mesh billet grille (like some of the ones for Mustangs) that moves the Chevy/SS/Z28 logo to the side? I'd be pretty interested to see how that option would look.

I like what I see on the pre-prod. She's a beautiful car. I would, however, like to see the quarter vents cut out, the front bumper vents come back, and the side view mirrors narrow out again. I can live with the gas cap. It will be missed, but I like that the after market companies will likely have availabilities for at least two of the first three.
