I always park in 1st w/ e-brake. Insurance for my insurance. I got used to using the e-brake for parking on my car w/ rear drum brakes. Using the e-brake allows the tension springs on the drum to adjust themselves to maximum efficiency. This allows the e-brake to actually work when you need it for it's actual purpose!
