Another dumb question, does this setup void the warranty on a new car?

No, unless gm can prove the mod does sonething that directly relates to damaging a part, very rare.

The question has been beat to death from all aspects of our cars.

Hope this helps.

Edit: if a dealership gave you a hard time you could always go elseware to have your car looked at (another dealership of course).

This weekend I went to the muffler shop and got the 3" piping done. BBK longtubes to mag x pipe, 3" from there to quad tips. It is LOUD. I'm not sure I like it. I'll get a video up soon

I was wondering what this set up sounded like since I was thinking about doing the exact same thing. Does it rumble and sound deep like a V8, or does it sound like an annoying honda? Lol hopefully you'll get a vid up soon

See, I actually like how it sounds... and the loud noise and pops are indicative of straight pipes, yes. You basically have straight pipes, you just have an x pipe between it all. The LT headers probably make it way louder too.

I will say that when it comes to having it at idle you can get a v6 very close to the sound of a v8. Although once you start getting higher in the RPMs it gets easier and easier to distinguish the two. Example is the video with the ghost cammed Yellow Camaro. As loud as it is even with that nice chop, I cringe at how it would sound at WOT. Personally I don't think you can do anything to change that. Using the Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe will help a ton though.
A v6 sounds nothing like a v8 at idle........

I think this is the meanest sounding V6 I've ever heard.

I didn't even listen to the video...didn't have to. All I know is, is that with long tube headers and the right setup, the V6 can sound like a V8 at idle or low rpms.

Why I say this?

Because I've heard multiple people mistake a V6 for a V8. End of story.

Now will a LT header V6 sound like a LT header/cammed V8 at idle. Heck no.

Can a V6 sound like a V8 all the time. Heck no.
