It is quite a good deal! the springs are new, but the pushrods have some miles on them, but not too many.
The cam will be something similar to a TSP 228R on 110 or 111 LSA. I may go custom and up the specs closer to 230/232 and almost .600 lift. The cam will probably be 1 or two weeks away. Everything I buy I'm matching the funds into my savings for college. everything will be done soon enough, and my Valve springs are already in the mail!

Nice, sounds like a good cam selection. Smart move on the college funds. I'm doing my H/C swap this weekend. Ported 243's and a 226/234 .600 113 LSA cam. I'll post a vid once it's done.

Are you doing it all yourself or having it installed? Can't wait for a video, it's gonna sound great!

I'm doing it myself. I was painting my valve covers this morning and getting some last minute stuff like spark plugs, 3 arm puller, and miscellaneous hardware for converting to a coil pack rail setup. I'll start the tear down once it starts to cool off a bit here. Video should be here on Sunday if all goes well.

Thanks man, so far so good. I got the intake, radiator, water pump, and coil packs off last night. Today I should have the PS pump, valve covers, rocker arms, and pushrods removed. I'll probably not be done tomorrow like I though I would. I'm taking my time with this and am working by myself so it's taking a little longer than I thought. That and I keep taking detours to clean stuff as I pull it. Yea these heads ended up costing me around $1700. But it was worth it, equivalent numbers to trick flow for $400 less.

I think we're just going to pull the motor, we have the means and it would make it a hell of a lot easier to get everything done. I'm definitely gonna be like you and want to clean EVERYTHIING!
If my buddy hand't moved I could have ported my 243's for free :/

No kidding, his dad is a auto machinist so he has the means to do everything.. oh and did I mention he has a heads/cam LS1 GTO and an 01 Z28 that he's building a twin turbo 410 for?
UPDATE: Pushrods are here, they look brand new! Valvesprings will be here on Thursday, and Friday I'll be ordering my Cam!
