Drivers seat wear
Is anyone having an odd wear problem on the drivers seat? It looks like the material underneath the seat cover is coming through the holes. My dealer took pictures of it and sent it to GM (supposedly) back in September. I called them back a few weeks later and they said they will contact me. Fast forward to last Saturday (im pretty patient) I asked again and they said to call them back on Monday. I called on Tuesday and got- GM is aware of the problem and they are working on a solution?? Really? The car has been in production for 3 years and they cant find a solution to a seat problem? I find that very hard to believe- anyone else run into this? I really dont want to call Chevy to escalate if this is true.
Thanks! |

i have the same problem if you want to call it that, i believe some say its because of cheap leather put it but i dont know that, my dad's Zo6 shows wear as well and his car his a little more than mine
But the best thing not to do is NOT wear jeans, next to sandpaper it and the dye in the denim is Terrible for your leather seats and will sctach the hell out of your seats...i recommend some nice seat covers

Leather or cloth? My drivers side seat belt guide strap silver button clip tore from the leather. My dealer replaced the seat cover no questions asked. He found the side air bag material wasn't positioned properly. I would ask your dealer to replace the seat cover....

I know a guy with a 2SS that had that problem, they told him to find a better way to get in and out of the car.

I have had the same couple months ago, when I would get in the seat, the cover would "pop" off the bottom and I would just reattach it but it never felt tight again. I took it in to the Dealership a couple weeks later and since then it never came back off. That was back in Feb.

Dealer finally called and said they were ordering a new seat cover... like it should take some effort to do that... at least they didnt say- oh you have a tune so probably caused the problem!! ahahahah
