Vararam ram air vs cold air inductions
Kinda pissed I bought cold air inductions for $400 and then vararam comes out with this for $350. Is it a big difference? Need some opinions or should I just keep my CAI?

Both are considered the best by a lot of people. I'd say don't worry about it because even if they Vararam is better, it won't be by much. Use the money for longtubes.

I have not, but think of this: Try hosing off the engine compartment with a Vararam intake and tell us how much you like it then. It's no problem at all with the CAI brand.

as long as you dont spray water through the front grill you would be fine with the vararam. Scoop goes over the radiator. also i dont make a habbit of spraying my engine with water....

Both have a lot of happy customers.
I chose on gains as well as fitment and finish and went with CAI Inc. |

Are you saying you can't hose your compartment down with these intakes?

Gotcha, I hope Johnnyb from Peoria is not trying to imply that any one of these intakes cannot get wet or be in monsoons?!
Only time you have to worry is if you submerge the damn car up to the headlights. Lol

Well, consider this: when I had my Solstice, I bought a Fujita F5 intake, and paid $300 for it. Got 3 Plus mpg increase. Bought a Cold air intake off of eBay for my Camaro. $119 delivered. Excellent construction, at least as good as the Fujita, and averaging 3 plus mpg increase with it. I pretty much conclude that they are almost all way over-priced. Really a simple device, and the $119 works just as well

Nothing wrong with the CAI and since you already have it, run it.
I have the Vararam and I'm happy with it. BTW, there is no issue washing the engine bay with it as incorrected suggested above. I'm a bit of a engine bay clean freak and I wash it often. Never even the slightest of issue doing so...
