WELLNOW.........

What have we here?

The Fbodfather has been spirited away into the night by a fleet of BLACK SUBURBANS.

What are we to make of THIS revolting development?

*sound of phone ringing*

These questions and more shall be answered...............

I'm looking forward to this announcement more then I was for the Super Bowl.
Plus is if this turns out to be a announcement concerning the new Camaro due out in January next year, I'm betting all the players who helped make this a reality are even more anxious then us. This could be a very special momment for all those involved with this project.

Sounds like this show would be a lot of fun to attend and to be apart of. Oh well I have to keep a job so I can afford this new car. I look forward to seeing all the photo's and updates as they become available here on this forum.

Anyone who thinks a gasoline engine is better thana diesel needs to do some major research. Horsepower is not always that impressive for the size of some of the engines being a turbo engine as well, but the torque is outrageous along with the MPG. I know they are also expensive to work on etc, but they are generally more reliable as well. I would drive a deisel Camaro myself, but I know most wouldn't, but if it was an option, I would have it.
The small diesel in the Jetta doesn't pump out the emissions of the monsters in HD trucks so it doesn't need the after treatment. But a smaller V8 diesel would still need it. And it would still cost more, a lot more, than a conventional gasoline V8.

In that case I appologize for fueling the fire.

We need an official "fbodfather" on the G8 sites to get us all fired up for what GM has in store for us .

GM only said they are making an announcement.

They might come to the podium and say "We're building a <insert name here>. Thank you."

Nobody said we were gonna get any specs

Honestly.. After this much build up.. If that were the case, we'd have our own little running of the bulls here in the Windy City..

Good point. Why announce something without at least giving the fans a little something to talk about though?... Maybe something like: looking for about 550 horsepower, or wheels like SSX, or something along those lines. I know I'd be happy with some generalities - specifics can come later

I hope it's something people can look at and that we finally have a clear understanding of the difference between a Z/28 and whatever this model is tomorrow.
