Question What's the best wax/polish for Black with CGM stripes?

I know opinions are like noses, (everyone has one) but is there any type of consensus on what the best all around wax or polish is? I am thinking a black 2LT with CGM stripes & want to get the best product for both looks & protection. I would like to hear both success & horror experiences. Thanks in advance for any input.

If you were asking about radar detectors we'd probably be all over the place, but I thing there is a pretty good consensus on Zaino for polish.

I use it on my CGM w/ black stripes and it's awsome... makes regular interval car washes so much easier...

i used to detail cars and over the past 18 years i've used almost everything out there. here's what i do and my situation.

our IOM Camaro is a fair weather vehicle. we drive it everyday there's no rain and store it in the winter. on the Camaro, we use Zaino. i have tried a lot of different stuff, but the Zaino really keeps the paint looking wet and the stripes looking great.

my everyday truck is an 09' Sierra Denali in Black. i use a good carnuba wax 4-6 times a year on that (snow and salt) and polish it with Zaino spray polish in between.

the canuba holds up better over time, but the Zaino looks alot better and is more of show car process.

hope it helps!

I've been reading that wax is a no no on the stripes. So I make sure to avoid the stripes when waxing my car.

Thanks

Thanks for the input, I have heard of Zaino, but couldn't remember the name. Looked at there site & there are so many products! The Z-CS clear seal & polish caught my eye. Would this be the best solution to apply both to a brand new Camaro? I want lasting protection as well as that deep wet look.

Have you looked at Adam's products? There are several threads about it here and the junkman recommends them. I'm going to buy some Adams stuff when the weather breaks and I can wash my car/polish/wax my Camaro for the first time.

I have a feeling your post will be moved to this section, anyway. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45

You will find many noses, I mean opinions here.

I find Turtle Wax Ice hard to remove sometimes...I have it but it's taken a back seat to Meguiars NXT 2.0

they have 3 product kit you can buy.....

the One is a great base and after each coat spray the CS on to seal. in between use the Grand Finale. you won't belive to depth.

this kit will last FOREVER!

i also bought the C2 polish and have been building coat after coat all winter. i also use the leather cleaner/treatment and tire shine.

RS- What do you mean by "after each coat"? Do you apply Z-AIO, Z-CS, & then Z-AIO again? Or is it Z-AIO-Z-CS-Z-8? Hope that makes sense
