Oil pan help!

In the process of my cam on an l99 camaro. Got all the oil pan bolts but one. It's hard to get to because of a metal brace in the way. Should I pull the motor instead? Any ideas?

you use adjustable head tools to get in the tight spots, and improvise other than that pulling the engine is a whole can of worms you think one bolt is hard.... You got a lift to drop the cradle.....with engine and trans as one.... because out the hood is old school bush league for a Camaro and tight so not a good old v-8 way with all the problems.....you could loosen up the engine a little and get some extra space to drop the pan there have been posts years ago with pics I am sure about the PITA people go through doing a pump swap/timing chain in their Camaro with the engine in place squeezing things in and worrying about the O-ring and pick up tube placement.... I would check the DIY section etc someone knows the name of the exact tool name you need to squeeze in there.. and if your doing it someone has done it before... Good Luck.

Robertway did a diy. Look for that. Not sure if a 2015 is different. I did the ss1 on my l99. My build thread has the details.

Don't have to drop the pan to do the cam

Good advice! Robertway's cam install diy is excellent and very comprehensive! He addresses that specific issue in detail.

BTW, the stickys have a list for you, but here is the DIY with videos on dropping the pan and doing the cam install VVT is a bit different and I've covered some of that in mine but Robertways is the best DIY I've seen:

I made some comments and advice page after the cam swap. You can look for it in my older post history. Take your time, get the right tool. My flexible wrench was a life saver on this, be sure its a 'thin' wrench too like snap on or other thin model. Worth a buy just for it.

Yup. Don't skip the rags. I have the pickup tube bolt living in my oil pan because I skipped it. I figure I'll just get it out later and got another bolt. I got the cross member modified to be bolt on so I can pull the pan without having to pull out the block now.
