Question Torque management?

Can someone tell me how torque management works on the LS3 M6? Does it get disabled when traction control & stabilitrak are turned off? Any effect on engine/trans longevity?

I don't know about the LS3, but on the L99, TQ management is part of the tuning. You need a computer/tranny tune to reduce or remove it. I know on the L99, it makes a significant difference.

Traction Control and Torque Management are two different5 animals.

Torque Management is when the computer regulates the throttle in order to lessen the stress on the drivetrain and supposedly keep parts from breaking. Personally, I think they put WAY TOO MUCH in both the L99 and LS3......and the LSA for that matter.

And yes, it also makes a noticeable difference on the LS3's even with just a "canned tune" from a hand-held tuner (Predator).

Torque managment makes your shifts smoother, it removes throttle and spark when the clutch is depressed

No, it is not turned off or changed in any way by turning off traction control, stabilitrack, or competitive driving mode. Only a tune can change this.
