I jus turned 16 and got a new 2010 camaro ss for my b-day my dads payin bout 150 bucks a month for insurance. a camaros gonna be expensive to insure since its considered a sports car so the higher the trim the higher the insurance I recomment a 1LT its one of the lowest trims on the camaro so it'llb e cheaper to insure

BS!!!!! I'm 36 w/ a clean driving record and for me and hubby (also clean driving record) we pay almost $200/mth for full coverage w/ State Farm. My 18 y.o daughter drives a 4 door Kia Spectra and pays $189/mth (liability only) w/ State Farm. So, a 16 y.o w/ an SS w/ insurance that only costs $150/mth--somethin' ain't rite!!! Even in daddy's name, if he is driving it, he has to be listed as driver which automatically raises the premium. |

Am I going to have to be the one to say a 312 HP Camaro might not be the best idea for a first car?

the ss with a clean driving record is cheaper insurance for me than a v6. the bigger brakes help lower it i think.

Whatever happened to just working or studying hard and earn/save until you can get one comfortably? Kids these days just want something and feel entitled to get it
I know everyone says the camaro is the dream car but fast forward a few years and you'll have another dream car and be choked you only got the camaro lol! I don't really see how kids should be driving such nice cars so young. But then again where I'm from you got school girls driving six series bimmer their daddy bought em. Sorry for the rant. I just think kids have no idea how much it really costs to get a car and to even fathom the idea that maybe they really can't afford to get one.

$65/month to add an SS to my State Farm policy. No tickets in last 3 yrs. and just a nick over 40. One of the few benefits of growing old.
