Accidents Auto VS Manual

As I comb through salvage websites and look at the destruction casued in accidents I often wonder who had more accidents AUTOMATICS or MANUAL?

i feel that having to shift keeps me in tune to what im doing. when i had an auto, i would either be texting, dazing off, or just bored lol

I would also like to see extensive data including SS - LT, age of driver, rural - urban, heavily modded - stock, etc.

Let's see, old people cause more accidents per mile than anyone else. Old people drive autos. So, autos have more accidents.

Over the course of time averages will fall to autos because they outsell the manuals by a huge margin.

Automatics are much more common in the United States and therefore are more likely to be in car crashes.
Plus, driving a manual requires more attention when driving and probably equates to less crashes.

i concur with these. more autos on the road = more crashes.

Answer: Can you shift gears and text?

Edit: As for the specifity of the poll to Camaro5 Camaro owners... I don't think that applies.
