the best thing is to bring the mechanic with you and find a bump to replicate the sound. turn off radio and all accessories.

if the guy only works with, what he reads from your complaint, how can he reproduce or look for the sound you experience?

the more you tell him, like,at what speed, rain or shine; he'll be able to focus on your complaint.is it hard to steer after the bump?you loose control,of steering, noise from the front or back..

make that tech search and work hard to look for your problem.

Good luck.

Has any one hit their bump stops when you bottom out your suspension and what does it sound like ? Maybe that's the problem I'm having ? Sounds like the windshield is going to crack?

I set an appointment for someone to ride with me! I took the lead tech for a ride to the bumps that make the noise and he heard it! They want my car next week, appointment has been set, including a loaner! He said that they will get it fixed! I'll follow up when I know more.

Here's a TSB regarding the issue:

Document ID: 3405388
#PIC5819A
2013 Camaro Built After October 1, 2012

Condition / Concern

On vehicles built after October 1, 2012 a repetitive clicking or popping noise may be heard in the front of the vehicle at low speeds.

Recommendation / Instructions

Replace the front strut or struts. Parts have been revised and all old stock was purged.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT replace the upper mount - it is NOT the cause of the condition.

I just got a call from the dealership, both struts are not working at all, the struts are blown out!!!!!!! I had 18 miles on the car when I hit a bump and got a loud bang. Replacement struts are on order and I should have the car back early next week.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear your dealership was able to locate your vehicle issue and that replacement struts are on order. Please let us know once the repair is complete on your vehicle.

The bump is small, it is at a transition from asphalt to concrete! I can hit it at 14 mph and it is loud. I am not rough with my car at all, not just looking for bumps to hit! I drive the same roads every day for years. I was wondering if the car was strapped down very tight on the rail car. Not sure if they strap cars down all.
