yes, but a tune and a CAI have nothing to do with a keyfob not working.

the issue is if/when a change to GM's programming is done and engine/trans damage occurs.

Why is everyone so worried about warranty work? Has anyone actually ever broken a bone stock lsx motor? Transmission besides the recall for the new manuals? There are thousands of people modding new cars every day and it seems like most of the worry warts are here. Are vette forums like this? Mitsubishi? Seriously I dont know. But man some of you guys worry too much. The best way to keep your warranty is to not touch your car ever.

Curious, if a "tune" is just reprogramming a few codes on the computer, why are some of these performance shops charging $500 to do it, and calling that a deal? I would think if you are just changing some codes, it should take 30 minutes and call it a day. Am I missing something here?

Yeah, it's the same reason headers cost twice what they used to...people are willing to pay more so now they cost more. To make it worse most people think the most expensive product is better than the an exact equal for half the price., just look at designer clothing. Same with tuning, it really shouldn't be more than $300 but the big name shops are selling you the same thing because the name is behind it.
