Thinking of Kooks headers with Corsa exhaust... L99 opinions/comments?
do you think the headers will mess up the "no drone" that corsa promises? will it cause some major/loud afm buzzing?
vid: thinking of getting the BAD BOY II from Xtreme Horsepower link: http://www.xhpsolutions.com/product....cat=342&page=1 what do ya'll think? should i stay away from the headers? and instead of corsa getting the new L99 MBRP...

Have you considered a handheld (i.e. Superchips Limited Edition 2010 Camaro handheld tuner) to remove the AFM issue mentioned above? you can switch from stock/performance at your leisure with it. As well as scan multiple peramiters on your ride. Several of my out of state customers are using them now. Not many left on the shelves per Superchips!
I would recommend ARH Headers and Magnaflow axleback personally. |

Yeah, you MUST get some sort of tune with long tubes if you have an L99. If you don't the AFM noise will drive you crazy.
I just got Kook's 1 7/8 headers, high flow cats, and Magnaflow 2.5'' catback put on my car. Its a nice quiet setup. It sounds real nice and aggressive above 3000 rpms, but at low rpms it real quiet. Its also very quiet at cruise speeds 65mph (no drone of any kind). But before I got my car tuned (yesterday), the AFM sound was extremely annoying (and my setup is as quiet as you can get with long tubes). Everyone that hears my setup is amazed by how quiet my car is with 1 7/8 headers and high flow cats. And about your question. You will definately be annoyed by AFM with a Corsa exhasut and long tubes. You will need to get your car tuned to turn it off. |
