Repair costs made them rare...but I hear the feds made them extinct...not to mention in the Corvette's case, Europe outlawed them before us - but GM wanted to sell the Vette there...so the hideaways had to go. :(

Proof? As I don't see any reasonable reason that congress passed a law on this.

Congress never needs a REASONABLE reason to pass a law, one need only look at the thousands of absolutely ridiculous pieces of legislation they've passed over the years. And you might as well brace yourself, unless there is a major change in the direction of our Congress, it is only going to get worse.

Has to have a functional cowl induction hood,
must have really big brakes,
must have aggressive suspension set up,
must have spoilers front and rear, must have 3:73 gears and a naturally aspirated 500 horsie shorter than 6.2 L stroke revver engine.
Forged crank titanium rods, forged pistons, aggressive cam.
Possibly have active brake cooling, adjustable suspension, 21" x 10.5" wheels and the lowest profile tire available.
closer ratio trans gears with 6th as 1 to 1. possibly an 8 speed to accomodate an overdrive. built in chassis stiffeners and serious weight loss. ie use of carbon fiber body parts or fiberglass.
cross ram intake design with optomized mid range tuning.

Whoops..re-read title ..I totally suck. This is supposed to be to do with appearance. I kind of rambled into performance...sorry

1) yeah..cross ram. kinda like a two-stage intake with electronically adjustable runner volume.
2) envision more speeds to stay within power band kinda like a crotch rocket
3) 21" wheels= less rubber sidewall=less slip angle. I woulda said bigger, but I think thats the limit for clearance or close to it..

Just give me the LS7, 20" forged and 6 speed close ratio box with an overdrive and I'm happy.

I say:
Needs its own exclusive stripe package.
No bowtie.
Z28 emblem on the grill like the SS or RS emblems.
Exclusive grille (Leno/Sniper sytle)
Black trim along the bottom of the car (splitter, sideskirts and diffuser).
High-angle dove tail spoiler with a brake light.
Center quad-exhaust tips.
slp style hood
Leno style fender vents
Lower suspension

The biggest problem I have with my Camaro is the console interferes with the shifting (6M). The console needs to be lower by 2 inches from the shifter back, and the cup holders moved to the passenger side of the console towards the dash, like the Vette. Please make the change!
