It's exhaust time....

...and I'm open to suggestions. I want to do a Cat Back system and I had originally set my sights on the Flowmaster AT Series. Any feedback?? I don't have any particular brand allegiance. I just want a good sound, but something that doesn't make me sorry I did it cause it's so loud at freeway speeds. Not looking to out rev a top fuel dragster-not a "Ricky Racer" just want my Camaro to sound like God intended it to...

Thanks!

I just installed the Flowmaster AT cat back since my headers are on back order till January.

If you want loud.. you'll need to get headers with the Flowmaster AT. The factory manifolds and dual cats per side really quiet down any catback exhaust. To me they sound really rich and refined and overall very nice... but they are just a little louder then factory (but with their own tone of course)

2010 2ss Auto here...

If you don't plan on installing headers in the future, get the Stainless Works Chambered Exhaust!!! Best sounding exhaust w/o headers in my opinion.

You can say Corsa if you want it to sound raspy... oh sorry high pitched... The Corsa reps will even tell you that. Corsa is not as deep as the others, more Ferrari than detroit muscle.

If you want low rumbling muscle, go Borla or Flowmaster. I have Flowmasters with LT headers, its loud under throttle but sounds great. There is some drone at 1500 but a down shift or a tad of the vertical pedal and its gone.

I Cheeped out and love my system.
2 chamber flow masters.auot zoon 60 bucks each,
3" tips 40 bucks for BOTH!
Cheepy headers.(going turbo Soon anyway) 249.
Hi flow cat.(1) 3" 169.
3 in all the way out and all put togher at my local shop.400.
So to recap sound GREAT. total job cost me.
978. so under a grand. Yea the headers look crapy. but they work like a charm... i will trash them next year anyway.

lets see 7 to 8 hundred cat back
7 to 11 hundred headers
3 to 4 hundred HI flow cats.

just my 2 cents.
next year turbo SS pipe all the way!

i have the magnaflow 3" comp. catback with 1 7/8 Kooks and no cats. By far the deepest sounding exhaust i've ever heard. Even without the cats its not extremely obnoxious normal driveing and cruising but when you stand on the gas it really wakes up. Oh and absolutely no drone whatsoever.

i agree with that corsa may not be " old school " muscle car sound, but it still sounds like a v8, and does sound good.. i feel that a higher pitched exhausts always sound louder then lower pitched exhaust.
