Exclamation GREEN Camaros are coming, WHITE Camaro is alive, and Buick 3800 engine rumor

Here's some interesting news & rumors to send you off to your long weekends. Also reported on Homepage.

Green Camaro Color

We have it on good info that two green colors will be made available for the Camaro -- Opel Green and Synergy Green.
The Opel Green Camaro will be a deeper shade of green, while the Synergy Green color will be the lighter shade. Take a look at the green camaro photoshop threads below for some ideas of what these shades may look like on the Camaro.

Opel Green -- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17856
Synergy Green -- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17813

White Camaro Color

It's alive!! Word is that a production white Camaro SS (with RS package, silver trim, auto transmission and sunroof) has already been produced and is on its way to Mexico. Mexican members, make sure your cameras are charged! We hope to bring you the first shots of a production white Camaro ASAP. Here's an idea of what it will resemble: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6399

Buick 3800 Motor for the Camaro?

There's a rumor floating about that there's potentially the development of another engine to go into the Camaro, based on the Buick 3800 V6 Motor, and which is not naturally aspirated (which means a supercharged or turbo version). We're not sure what to make of this, so take it with a grain of salt, but stay tuned for any future info.

isnt the 3.6 good enough? i see no reason why gm would mess with the 3.8L. the 3.8 is an awesome engine dont get me wrong but the 3.6 is much more efficient.

But what would a turbo/supercharged 3800 engine put out hp wise? Is this something that would replace a V8 engine like the L99?....

I don't see it replacing the current V6 motor.

Maybe they are looking into this for gas mileage reasons. I don't know. Hey, it's a rumor as of now...maybe someone w/ GM motor knowledge can chime in and shed some light on the subject.

cool news on the greens. I know there will be a few people overjoyed with this news!

And get ready for the vert! I hear it's coming in the not too distant future! I hear they are to get back to work on that in a few weeks....hrm...hold on vert folks!!!

Might be a straight 6 like in the trailblazer.

This would be to make LS cheaper and get rid of the DI in the LS and the 6 speed.

I don't know if you could even put a solid axle and 4 speed automatic in it.

That's just my guess.

I don't think they will make eng changes to SS or LT's. If a bigger engine comes it will probably be the Z28 pkg.

Why would they need to make LS cheaper? To compete more against big push by Mustang and Genesis at entry price point.

MUCH MUCH rather have a darker green than a brighter green!

Would be sooo sweet. I hate to take it away from the Mustangs though, that bullitt green is a mustang icon one could say.

WHATEVER. I'd wear that green on a Camaro. Let's just call it a universal muscle car green.

Probably just getting something that they could offer if ford decides to put the ecoboost 6 in the Mustang.

Well let me just say that stuff about the LS and the straight has probably nothing to do with the 3800 rumor lol I just don't see why they would want another option like that.

Here is the Vortec 4200 I was thinking of btw.
