Just Discovered....

Had my ZL for about 6 weeks now and absolutely love it. However, I just discoved that there is no glove box lamp or CD player. Small thing, I know but why did GM omit these things? Did they go the way of the spare tire? Don't care about the CD, but us older gents need a light to find their viagra anf heart pills.....

I carry a little LED flashlight in my center console, always have. I do miss the CD player but that's what USB sticks and bluetooth function in the car are for now.

Don't mind no CD Player and the Car itself is Viagra, but it may lead to heart stopping
acceleration and excitement, so keep those heart pills handy.

I never knew there wasn't a light in the glove box. I can't remember the last time I bought a CD as there are only a handful of stores who still sell them. Gone are the mom and pop record stores as well as big name record stores. We download music one track at a time for a buck, so I guess GM is ahead of the curve on this one.

What year did the ZL1 lose the CD player

I was told there was a CD player in the ZL1 but when I got the car there wasn't one. This is what my dealer told me,

" The CD player is standard on the 2013 Camaro and many other Chevrolet models. However, when you opt for the ‘MyLink’ sound system, the CD player is deleted in favor of a USB port and other music interface options. The Camaro ZL1 comes standard with the MyLink sound system, thus no CD player is available on a ZL1."

I never noticed that there wasn't a light in the "glove box" as I keep my Viagra close at hand in the console. The roar of the engine and whine of the sc are music to my ears so I rarely listen to music anymore. Funny what I learn on these forums.

Just remember that you may have to call a doctor if you drive the car for more than 4 hours...
