^That's what I was thinking. All the cammo should be off. So, I figure someone snapped those pix a long time ago and are only releasing them now as things have moved along.
I just hope we can change the color of the interior lights like on the Mustang. And, I'd really have to see it in person, but those RPM and Speedo gauge lights look pretty darn bright to me. |

^Yeah, some seem to hate the changing colors thing but i think it would be quite neat actually. Much better for mood colors when picking up the ladies

The interior looks like it wraps around the driver like a glove. I can't wait to sit in one for the first time.

My thoughts here on the torque gauge is that the test car still has an LS2 in it. I do not think Chevy has finished whichever engine will be in the final car. Remember these gauges and there markings are very easy to change and I would assume they will be different between the V6 and V8. The have to change things such as redline anyway so they can change the numbering also pretty easily. I think the HP and Torque ratings of whatever the engine is, at least on the top-V8 (not the limited production GT-500 fighter if ther is one) will have to be at least equal to the GTO.
I have read alot about maybe 2 V6s and one V8 does anyone have any good info on this or is this pure speculation, I had always assumed one V6 and two V8s. |

^ IMO it wouldnt make any sense to be testing an engine that they wouldnt use. If i had to guess its a gen V or LS6. The LS6 is in the hp range that they would want to have.

I agree that they would not need to test an engine they wouldn't use so I guess my thought is that they are more testing chassis and suspension dynamics. If that is the case I would think that any engine with similar weight would work. I do agree however that if the engine they are planning on is ready for primetime they will be testing with it. I don't see why however they wouldn't use a different engine for tests if the actual one is still having some tweeks. Remember we are still a year out and they mule were probably built 6-12 months ago so almost 2 years out. I think newer test cars could have a differnent engine that the "de-camoed" older mules.
Anyway just my thought I could be completly off base, I just don't want to admit that torque below 400 is possible for the V8 so that may be coloring my thought. |

I don't get whats wrong with 370 lb-ft. torque. Don't they usually match it with the same amount of horsepower? If so that enough for me!!

If you look in the space between the shifter and the gauges, there seems to ba a glossy part. Another readout of some kind?
