When will prices go down
Anyone got any guesses on when prices for current 2015s will go down because of the 6th gen?

I don't think we'll see a huge drop. The 2015 is a really nice car. Chevy should sell a ton of them this summer.

There will be a big price drop, but it'll be for cars that are still sitting on lots. By then it'll be difficult to find a legitimate gem. They'll be cheap but they'll also be cars nobody else wanted for 6 months

I think when confirmed numbers of the implied performance of the 2016 SS hits, it will knock the bottom out of standard SS and 1LE pricing. If the numbers are not as great as implied, or the pricing for the 6th gen is a significant increase over the 5th gens, this may not hold true. Of course, I could also be completely wrong, but if I were hunting a new Camaro V8, (SS or 1LE), I would have to wait at this point to see where this all shakes out.

I actually want to see a poll with who LIKES and DISLIKES the new release of the 6th Gen. I love 5th gen way better IMO.

Some people don't want to buy a new designed car the first year or two of production. Something tells me that waiting and buying the last generation of car from a plant that is shutting down that line, may not be a good idea.

Dealers will be doing great prices on 2015 models this Memorial Day until the 6th gen hits. They need to clean up inventory
I got my 13 the last day of August for less than 20k. Everything was a crazy price, I assume because of the refresh |

I understand the love for the 5th gen, but I don't understand the opposition to the 6th. I think Chevy made an evolved design based heavily on the styling of the 5th gen. The Mustang radically departed from the design of the previous Mustang. I think this says that Chevy likes the design but is trying to squeeze more performance out of the Camaro.
Either way, I was always planning to get a 5th gen as long as the 6th gen did not make 5th look like an antique. Just need the right price! |

If you want a deal and are going to keep the car forever, yo could buy a new 2014 - there are still plenty of them on lots around here at least. Go to a dealership that has one you want and offer to get it off the lot for them - at the right price.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Well actually the prices will drop right before the 6th gen comes out because dealers will be trying to clear space.
