How Wide?

Aright so how wide of a rim and tire combo can you run on the rears without having to do any modifications. I run 315's with know problems but how much wider of a rear tire and rim could I run? I have been thinking about get new rims and I want to go as wide as possible on the rears.

I tried searching this but couldn't find anything.

I think SUX2BU ran a 335 on an 18" rim, he tends to be the guy to ask on wheel fitments and offsets, he measured it all not to long ago.

Here's what 335's on an 18 wheel for track use looks like. Way outside the wheel wells. But they work.

What size wheel are you looking to run? In 20" a 20x11 on a 315 with the Scarallo Drift-R fits absolutely perfect. We havent seen another fitment that fits as nice by another wheel company.

Many of the other combos that people are running in 18" and such are also a shorter over-all diameter.

So, the question is, what exactly are you looking for?

Alright so its looking like 315's are the best fit. I didn't think about them sticking way outside the wheel wells.

Maybe you should look a little harder. I can assure you that my CCW's which are 10" front w/275/40's and 11.5" rear with either a 305/35 or 315/35 fit just as good or better than the wheels you are making such claims about. I have pics with a straight edge if you would like to compare? We could compare weights as well.

I'm more concerned about front traction. The Camaro way understeers and maximizing front grip is the key to speed on a slalom course.

I'm currently working with Forgeline to fit 19x11's up front to run 315s. Mind you, fitment depends on suspension components.
