After over a year of debating and looking at many types of axel backs for the V6, finally will be getting rid of those big heavy mufflers! Ordered the JBA axel backs. Will be losing some weight in the rear, deeper sound, and 4" stock looking tips!

Should have them next week.

Looks great!

The JBA axel-back for the V6 sounds great. My buddy has one on his car and he loves it.

Can you post pics of the brake combo? I'm interested in doing the same.

Thanks! I cant wait to hear it... thats the only thing that sucks about picking a exhaust and not having one in person to hear.

Im just using R1 drilled and slotted rotors, stock brakes and pads, and the MGP caliper covers. Most don't like the idea of covers, but for the V6 I think they look nice. Plus I didn't wanna paint my calipers. I think I have a pic. Name: Screen shot 2011-06-04 at 11.17.15 AM.png

V6 represent! I keep saying this, but this may be my last mod I'm pretty happy with how it's looking, just had to get rid of that stock exhaust. Although I know something else will come along that I will add, haha! Your car looks amazing by the way!

JBA Axle-Back Exhaust V6
4" Dual Wall tips
#40-3116

After having the car for over 2 years now, I finally decided to get an exhaust. For over a good year now I have been going through all these threads in the V6 section debating on what exhaust to get. I fount the JBA axle back and was really impressed with how it looked, and with how it sounded from what videos I did see of it. So I said what the heck, Ill go for it!

Heres some pics!

Review:
The JBA's together weigh 38lb. so 19lb. each. The stock ones each feel almost 30lb.! So its a weight saver for sure.

I really like the 4" tips! They have a really nice stock look, kinda like the SS tips, but better looking in my opinion.

You cannot see the mufflers at all, very well hidden behind the fascia.

An exhaust like this should have been on this car from the factory... I think it's the perfect type.

Sound:
I haven't had a lot of time with driving it yet, but from I have heard so far I like. It has a nice deep sound to it. It's kind of exotic, and hard to describe.

The cabin sounds great! No drone from I have experienced so far.

The car always seems to get through launch a lot quicker. It seems like it cuts right through the initial bog when you first put your foot in it, so I'm sure there is some horse power gains.

So far I'm happy, but still gotta break them in, and go for some long cruises to see what they are really like!

It always bothered me when I would open the hood and see a nice engine bay, but the strut towers were just the Rally Yellow base coat, and looked very bland.

When my car was received, one of the guys at my dealer wrote the date they got it, and how it was the first 5th Gen they received.

I used spray paint from Autozone by Krylon called Sun Yellow, and I couldn't believe how close it matches. I was kinda nervous to do it at first, but it went on just fine, and turned out great!
