Paranoid about driving my car out of town..

So dont laugh at me guys!! My b/f and I are planning a trip to the florida keys in a few weeks. It's just a 3 day trip and he asked if we could drive the camaro. I took some pics of myself and my car last week on clearwater beach (note the sig) but he said we could get some really awesome pics down there. He's right but I'm so nervous about parking and such. I worry about something happening to it all the time. How do you stop being so paranoid about someone damaging your car??

I really think it stems from the dealership damaging my car to the point the trunk had to be repainted and then the manager threatning to steal her from me! Its like it traumatized me, lol! This car is my DD but I'm very particular of where I go and where I park. Hypnotize me, something!! I want pics in the keys!!!

Hate to say it, but get over it and enjoy your car as a car. Anything that stresses you out that much isn't worth having ...

Don't be paranoid.... it's a car that is meant to be driven! Just enjoy the trip and don't worry about something happening to it.

I'm paranoid every time my car leaves the garage. I see so many idiotic drivers everyday, and just last week I saw a parked car get hit by a U-haul truck on my street (turns out it was totaled):( On the other hand, no point in having a car unless you drive it and have fun, so just be careful!! The paranoid feeling seems to fade after a while. When I first got my car, I was really nervous!

im the same way

if i go to a store i park as far away as possible normally.

If I stop to get a bite, i make sure i sit near a window just so i can watch my car and make sure no one dings it or what not.

I am still paranoid over a year after I got Ruby, but I still drive her. I bought her for my daily driver & love it. I take road trips in her, worry or not. It is just too much fun to drive not to! Enjoy your baby. If something happens, it can be fixed or better yet..............time for mods!

Everyone has some valid points here. Just park a few spaces away from everyone else and be attentive! Life is too short to not enjoy your Camaro!

Thanks guys and gals. I know I should just get over it but, so much easier said then done!!! I've had nice cars in the past and did the same thing. My last car I bought with the mindset that I was not going to do it and it was so liberating!!! I had that car for 10 years and was still in great condition when I got rid of it but it was a Jeep, lol!

(repeat to self) get over it, get over it, get over it think of the fun, awesome drive and the amazing pics that I will have forever..get over it, get over it, get over it

Took mine on her first roadtrip a couple of weeks ago. No problems until I went to a meeting on my last day there. Pulled into a parking garage and heard the most awful grinding sound as I pulled in. Rubbed the Wheel on the f$#@%n curb!! not too bad, and to make lemonade out of Lemons, I am now going to powdercoat them!!

SO as Ruby said, if something bad happens, MOD IT!!
