Official CARBON FLASH METALLIC Camaro Thread

Featured on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

So I was driving in Orange and decided to stop by Selman Chevrolet and see my buddy Tommy Edrisi (one of the better Camaro Salesman you'll ever meet). As I walk in the show room, I see a Callaway Camaro that was at SEMA last year as well as a Synergy Edition SS and a Synergy Edition LT. Tommy then sees me and tells me that they just received a 45th Anniversary Convertible that belongs to a Camaro5 member. I told him that I think that this might be the first 45th Anniversary in California. I asked him who it was and he tells me that she goes by ExFlirt.

I met ExFlirt at the OC Auto Show last year so it's pretty cool that I get to see her car first. I asked him if he would let me take pictures of the car so that ExFlirt can have them in her car journal. It's a very beautiful car and I'm sure it would look much better once it's washed and detailed.

Congratulations ExFlirt!

Just email me so I can send you the originals.

And now the pictures ....

Thanks, G!!!

The car is filthy in those photos but is being detailed as I type this. I'll post some photos of a shiny 45th after I get them!

That means Chevy really hit a home run when all people have to b!tch about is steering wheels and numbers.

Seriously, you buy a car based on font and steering wheels?

that's actually just the glow of the red from all the red lights on in the gauge cluster... the camera picked it up really heavily, for some reason... its not nearly as noticeable in real life

I probably should have started the car to get some of those lights off... but didn't want to put the garage door up.

So this morning, I got on autotrader and saw the dealer down the road had a 45TH A6 SS coupe. Immediately had to go wake the wife up, get the kids dressed, and haul ass down the street to go look at it.

The paint is awesome. It's definitely not as sparkly as you initially see it in the first pics with the promo RS unless you catch it just exactly right in the sunlight...then it takes on a heavy metallic shimmer with a nice dark gray look. Outside of direct light, the car appears black until you are right up on it which then you can see the metallic.

Wheels look sweet in person as well. Wasnt able to get in it, since the dealer was still closed (which was fine, dont like this dealer anyhow).

GM did a great job on this package. Now after seeing it in person, it makes the wait even worse! I want my car!

Turtle, exflirt...

Take a good close look at the silver on your stripes. Do they have a very small metallic finish to them or are they just a flat matte finish?

The 45TH i saw this morning has a metallic finish to it...

Anyone else notice that the model they were showing before production also had a matching waffle lower grille? Guess they really want us getting heritage grilles!

Thank god for maureen and Rogers, will probably have the grille delivered before car arrives.
