No the suggested place to put it is towards the front of the exhaust. Here are two pics to clearify it. They come from rtcat600man.
Thanks! |

Um people usually get it when they get headers because the headers will cause a ton of rasp and this will pretty much completely remve the rasp. I'm not sure if it actually helps in performance though, but it is a def must if you get headers I feel.

I swear I have such bad luck in my life. I ordered a DRL Harness off someone and they told me it was delivered on Thursday Oct. 4th. Check my mail and nope wasn't there. Friday I look, nope nothing and the same for saturday. So I am thinking great they lost my package and I'm gonna be S.O.L. So on Monday I went to the post office to see what was going on, forgot it was a holiday . So I go today instead to see what is going on and all they tell me is well it was delivered there is nothing else we can do. So on my way back I check my mail again and it was there with a note from one of my neighbors. It was placed in the wrong mailbox . Anyways I went to install it and once I actually knew where it had to go the install was a breeze. Literally the hardest part was actually figuring out where the dang thing went haha. For anyone who intends on doing this mod be sure to check out this thread I made asking where it goes, it will def clear and confusion. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254543.
In other news still waiting on some vinyl I ordered from Revolution Motorsport, also got my hands on an LS3 mid-pipe (just got to find a shop to install it for me) and looks like I'll be getting an Rx Breather in IOM . Last edited by kjkjr27; 10-09-2012 at 03:53 PM. |

Not much going on. Went to the track this Saturday and did a handfull of passes. My best was 14.00@99.61. My 60ft vaired from about 2.14xx to 2.23xx and my ETs ranged from 14.00 to 14.5xx usually around 14.17x. Looks like I'll have to go out and buy a helmet for the next time I go lol. Anything under 13.999 I need a helmet so after this winters planned mods I'll have to get one lol. Well here is my best time slip. O and this run was made with 3/4 full tank lol, filled up earlier in the week and thought I would of used more gas. There is another T&T in 2 weeks and I'll mess around with tire pressure and try to lower that 60ft. By then maybe I will have my LS3 midpipe installed, would be interesting to see if that helps at all.

Well yesterday I finally got around to getting the LS3 midpipe I got of a fellow Upstate C5 member installed. Thanks Scott! I haven't really noticed any difference with either the sound or power but atleast now my MRT v2 are welded on lol. I'll try to add up a cold start video and put it with a before, maybe there will be a little difference idk lol. It will be interesting to see if my 1/4 times change at all next weekend when i got back to the track since this will be the only difference, well that and this time going with less fuel haha. (doubt it though) My vinyl blackout kit arrived yesterday too but haven't gotten a chance to install it since it yet, was actually gonna do it yesterday but it took longer than I thought for my midpipe install.
Next time this month though my poor girl will be in storage. Don't worry though haha the modding won't stop, I'll be taking her apart and bringing stuff back with me! |

I must say I am not good at all with this modding thing. Something always seems to go wrong. Today I tried to replace my magnetic trunk blackout with some vinyl I got and one side looks good but the other has bumps gallore(sp) I tried working them out but they wont budge and it looks horrible. I am gonna leave it on for now maybe someone can shed some advice on how to deal with them. I thought about maybe getting a needle and pricking a hole to get the air out but I'll wait for some others to give some advice. By the way must say dang look at the pain of that IOM, look how it shines in the sun

Vinyl can be a real PITA! Did you use water on the trunk lid and on the vinyl when you installed it? I just replaced my magnetic strip with vinyl and I had some bubbles too. I was able to work them out with the hand squeegie and patience, but that was when it was still wet. My bubbles were water pockets that would ooze out when I worked it from center to edge. It may be too late for you now to work them out though. You may want to call the vendor you got them from for advise! Good luck!
