2010 Camaro Tail Fixed
I've been anxiously awaiting the return of this car, and with every glimpse we get that is closer to the final I've been happy, with one exception: The tail lamps and backup lights. I think they got it dead on the first time around. You get the backup lights combined with the tail lamps in a nice looking package. No crash ratings or wiring issues either. If it's not offered by GM this should be an easy upgrade at any good body shop, and will be something I might have done. Then again, this is just my opinion.

Those are more plain looking than the ones on the test mules, plus the shape doesn't blend well with the curve at the ends of the body panel.
Afterburners would be a lot nicer. |

Looks like a cross between the new challenger and a 300zx.

You just appear to want them more like the 69's from which the car is derived.
Most complain they look like Corvette tail lights, but in the end, Camaro has had Corvette tail lights in the early seventies. But EVEN THEN, they are most based off of the 67-68 tail lights moreso than the 69's. See: |

That's not a bad "photoshop", but IMO, they're too small, ie; out of proportion compared to what's currently offered on the Concept.

nice idea, but I must say they do look tiny compared to the rear end of the car. Make them taller and you might be on to something. I still like the taillights back where the concept (not prototype) had them though. That's my opinion as well. It's nice to see people trying new things though.

I think they look good. If GM planned to follow through with a more retro-inspired Camaro, this is what I would expect. I'm sure the lines around the lights would be better matched to this if they intended to go retro. At the same time, the current proportions don't intend this to be the back side. I'm very happy with the reverse lights where they currently are because they fill some very empty space and serve their function best in a more central position. These would also allow functionality, but they just don't look as good to me as the current setup.

I really like the rear on the "pre-pro" car the only thing out of place is the reverse lights. Nice job editing! but not for me.

Well, the reverse lights on the pre-pro resemble these ones on the '67-'68, so they don't bug me as much as the rest of you. I really do hope they have fancier taillights than the ones we've seen so far. |
