well guys after being up for five weeks, we had 7 paid entrants. i advised the investor that if we continued, he would lose around 8 grand. with that information, he decided to cancel the event. if yall want to yell at someone, yell at me. i cant believe we didnt get 30 guys from this forum minimum that wanted to run a full road course day. i think we had 4 or 5 from this forum. maybe 6, not sure. ive spent money, made up flyers, called in favors and it just didnt work.
everyone will get a full refund. im on lunch doing this right now. ill get yall your money back soon. not camaro forum soon, real soon. im working with matt to see if we can do extended touring laps and hot rides that day. ill donate my time and equipment.

Ahhh! All your hard work too! That blows. Seemed like a lot of the folks wanted it. Wow..

I also reserved the garage too... Was really looking forward to this...

Thanks again for all your hard work.

I was in the process of changing my vacation days around to make this date happen since it was following the Labor Day holiday break. I'm sorry that it didn't pan out but I understand the situation it put you and the investor in though.

Very sorry to hear this news, but one hell of a try by Johnsonrod. Thanks for doing all the leg work. I know it isn't easy, but I'm glad your investor is able to get out without losing a bunch of money. We will do our best to get this going again when the fest returns to Bowling Green.

THANKS again for all you've done!!!

Thanks for the effort. I am still coming to Bowling Green, I'm signed up for the Friday/Saturday track events with LS Fest. I am open to any opportunities that come up for Thursday.

refunds have been started. dont know how long it will be before you see it. ill see if we can do a few groups of touring laps. sometimes they are reluctant to do it but if we can get a group or two to commit to a certain time. we can get more cars out there.

there are spots available for touring laps and hot laps that thursday the 8th. you can save a spot by emailing paula@motorsportspark.org. more can run if you get organized and schedule touring laps as a group. if several want to do it, ill come help so we can do more entries. touring laps are like 45 bucks and hot lap rides are like 100 bucks. ive never seen anyone leave dissapointed.

Well, I went up to NCM this past week, and the track is amazing! Matt, Danny, and the folks @ NCM know what they are doing.

I did the hotlaps in a Z06 vette -- awesome!

So, with that, if anyone would like to do the touring lap (in your own car) going 'safe' speeds, that is still and options for the 8th. If there are folks that want to do it we can contact Paula @ NCM and she can setup the touring laps (no helmets, follow-the-leader, 3 car lengths between all cars).

Post up if you want too. I plan on doing that, but need to know by the end of this coming week so I can send Paula a list ($45 to $50 per car when you get there)...

Heh, I watched Danny take out 2 vettes, a 15 or 16 and what looked like a 2003, and the 03 spun out and almost hit the fence, could not keep up with Danny's Camaro or the newer vette -- we figured he had a few 'brown' spots after that since he came damn close -- wrong tires for that track and (Cooper all weathers I think) along with it was a bit 'moist' too...

Still, he finished, but you want 'good' tires as speeds hit around 100 on the straigh-a-way...
