If BUYERS would refusse to pay over MSRP then Dealers would stop selling over MSRP.
If I order a car that is a High demand and the ones they have on the lot (If they have one ) had a markup sticker, I aske to get it in writing that mine I order will be at MSRP or Less.... and I have the Salesman, The Sales Manager and If possible the Owner sign it... because salesmen move around, and he may not be there when your car comes in. and even sometimes sales managers will leave. It is rare a dealership will change hands though...

This has worked for me on Both Skys I ordered...

does anyone think a fully loaded ss/rs will be under 40k?

Hmph. My Buick-Pontiac-Chevy dealer marked up the G8 massively, a few thousand over MSRP. They'll probably do the same with the Camaro.

Finding one that won't do mark-ups is hard.

Do what I do drive the POS junker and let someone else eat the 1st year or 2 of costs. I'll probably get an base Cam5 that has 12,000 or more miles on it. You can save BUKU cash that way.

Not to deter anyone new is ok if you keep it in pristine condition and or have a lot of money to burn. I am broke arse myself.
