Install of Revolution Hood?
So can anyone tell me how to install the Revolution SS hood? I went to install it and the stock hood has bolts welded on it that you tighten a nut on to hook it to the hinges, this hood has 4 threaded holes instead...
Also the hood latch on the stock hood is welded to the hood, where do I find a hood latch for this hood? It just has 2 threaded holes for a new latch to hook into. |

That's the only reason I was weary of buying from them. Looks sick though. How much did you guys pay?

Well I got my hood through victory racing engines, so I emailed them and revolution to see if either companies will give me the parts!
Can someone with the hood take a pick and show me what the latch looks like? Maybe I can just fabricate my own... |

Oh just out of curiosity... What has everyone been using as a screen in the intake scoop? And how would you install it?

On mine we used a black screen door guard I bought from Lowe's, cut it out and formed it then rtv to hold it in. Not the prettiest from the bottom but it does shred the bugs nicely...

Thanks for the pics! If I am unable to get a hold of either company this doesnt look to hard to manufacture myself.

I love the hood but I can't seem to get the driver side of the hood to sit half an inch lower. Not even just a few centimeters.

The thing you have to remember about aftermarket hoods is that 99% of the time, they will never fit your car like your oem hood. When oem hoods are installed they adjust the fenders with them also.

I was all set to get this hood then the horror stories started. If you ordered one and got it I'm glad to hear it as there are many that never received it. Simply getting the hood aside the fact that it doesn't come with bolts to attach it to the oem hinges, doesn't come with a latch (seriously, wtf), doesn't come with any kind of filter/screen for the intake, and as far as I know still doesn't come with underside ducting along with the utter lack of communication on Revolutions part has deterred me from even considering this hood.
