So if You Get a Constant (not flashing) Check Engine Light...
...check your gas cap. I've had the check engine light several times. The code always states it's the evap system. In my opinion there is a design flaw with the way the gas cap is attached by the tether to the cap.
When you put the gas cap back on (turn until 1 click) and you go to close the fuel door you will notice that the plastic tether gets bent is such a way that it puts the cap in counter clockwise tension. The plastic tether acts as a spring that applies a force to the cap in the counter clockwise direction which tends to loosen the cap between refills, tripping the check engine light. After tightening thoroughly and a couple of engine starts, the check engine light always goes away. I might just remove the tether altogether if this continues.
