Any chance for a glass roof option?

I am curious if anyone has heard or or would like a glass roof for the Camaro. I test drove a Mustang GT (not impressed, bowtie man all the way) with a glass roof. I really liked that option because it gave a sunroof feeling without sacrificing headroom. I actually gained head room. I guess I'll put it on my wishlist for the 2011 model when I plan on buying. Come on GM, throw me a bone....

Personally not fond of it, and I'm not sure it would pass 2012 safety regulations, from what I've heard.

I was curious how "safe" such an option was. I was not fond of the idea when I saw it on the Ford website, but it was pretty nice when I drove it. The cheap tint netting looks horrible when slid out though. Being 6'5" and wearing a baseball hat all the time, I am not willing to sacrifice head room for a sunroof. I can adjust the seat way down and tilt it back, but if the chitlens are with me, I would have to cut their legs off.... On a side note, the GT did not feel near as quick as my 2005 CTS. I am sure the Mustang is faster, but that should give those who are getting the V6 some confidence in the smaller engine.

We should all be happy they are making it and stop thinking of how to change it for at least a couple years. That said, I wouldn't want it unless there was a screen to block out the light when not wanted, and then you might lose the headroom.

The glass roof is a $2k option for the Mustang and I don't really see the point of it. And they don't offer an actual sunroof.

Wow, I did not realize it was $2k. That makes $900 for a sunroof seem cheap. Maybe I'll get shorter by the time I buy.

I'm curious, what didn't you like when driving the Mustang?

Try driving that thing when it's 100* out...I had to cover my T-Tops glass part cause it would get TOO hot!

Same with any sunroof as well. I only use mine early in the day or later in the day, otherwise the sun beats down on you.

I kept asking myself that. I finally realized that when I got in the car, I did not get any rush like I do when sitting in a Camaro or even a new CTS or STS. We were trying to decide what car to get, so I have recently test drove them all. The interior did not impress me. I even like the Charger interior better. The cars look okay to me, but I see them all the time. That could be another reason. Maybe I am just a GM loyalist.
