ZL1 Recaros vs Standard seats weight?
So I was able to score me a set of ZL1 Recaro seats the other day. They fit nice and I'm looking forward to trying them out on the next track day coming up.
Tried to look through some old C5 topics but I can't find anywhere the weight difference between the two seats.... Anyone here able to find that info. Not a bid deal but I'm just curious.

Wow....great! I remember seeing the post where someone was comparing the weight. It may be around 20 pounds as a difference (as I remember hearing).
Its all worth it to have those mint seats!

Did you weigh the Recaros? Is that where you got the 33 pounds from? I found an older thread from a 2011 SS that claims these are the seat weights for NON Recaros:
DRIVERS SEAT 54.6 PASSENGER SEAT 44 I expected the Recaros to weight MORE than the standard option just because they look cooler and all that awesomeness has to weigh something, right? Last edited by jayno20; 05-31-2017 at 11:46 AM. |

Didn't weigh them, but my back says they weigh a lot more than 33 lbs.

I'm seeing conflicting reports of the Recaro weight. I saw another thread where someone weighed the drivers side Recaro and said 61.5 pounds. Kaboom, are you certain of the 33 pound weight?

Lucky dude, I've been calling every local ZL1 with recaros for sale and offering to trade my seats plus cash so far no luck. If you don't mind sharing how much cash did you have to put on top?
