Talking Hi-Ho, Silver! MI, IL, MO, OK, TX in a new Camaro

Update: We should be live in just a few moments.

Streaming Webcam
- Utterli Multimedia Microblog - My Twitter Feed - GM's Twitter Feed

Detroit to Dallas in a Camaro LT/RS 6MT! Meeting with enthusiasts and C5ers along the way! Multimedia streams mean that you can ride along... spread the word!

OK. Here's the route so far. Finalized plans in green.

Tuesday Afternoon/Evening
Detroit to Bloomington, IL: Interstate only. If you're on the route, let us know if you can meet us for food or fuel that afternoon/evening!

Wednesday
Bloomington, IL to STL: Interstate only. Possibly stopping for food or fuel. If you can meet us somewhere on the route, let me know.

STL, sometime between 11:30a and 1p: Weber Chevrolet meet-and-greet. Sit inside the Camaro, get your picture, size it up... listen to that incredible exhaust note!

Possible meetup group so far: Primus, Bart, niebrueg, TStko, cerberus, Sean_W, Jimmy, thejbyrd, HuJass

Weber Chevrolet
12015 Olive Blvd
Creve Coeur, MO 63141
(866) 695-3442

http://www.weberchev.com/

STL to Springfield, afternoon/evening: Along the Historic Route 66 remnants, making up time on I-44 when necessary.
Springfield to Tulsa Route Map: http://tinyurl.com/springfield-tulsa

Spine Tingler will meet us in Tulsa at some point. Any car meet venue suggestions?

Thursday
Tulsa to OKC, morning: We'd like to find a more fun road than the Interstate to get to OKC. Please advise!

OKC, around 10a: Gregmdusa has coordinated a meet at Classic Chevrolet Parts. Join us for a close-up look!
8723 South Interstate 35
Oklahoma City, OK 73149

OKC to Dallas: Interstate, stopping for food and fuel. Speed is an objective. We've been cleared by Andy at ADM for a dyno run; we're waiting for clearance from GM for this section to go green. Group so far: Sack Rat 2SS. Target time of 3:30p at ADM. The Camaro has to be back at GM regional HQ by 5p.

Open to alternate routes and suggestions!

Oh, wait... gotta get my road shades on

//Adam

Doske and Cam2fst... trust me, if it was my car, and I had more time, I'd be taking a full lap of America...

Booger, keep posted to this thread... if the route comes anywhere near you, we'd love to have you inside the car for a look!

Hillbilly, it looks like we won't be skewing east after all -- we're going to try to hit St. Louis, Tulsa, and OKC, via Route 66 wherever possible. Hopefully some C5ers will have ideas for us!

Should take 94 instead of US12. Stop in Battle Creek or Kalamazoo.

Stop into WMU's Main Campus to cause a Finals Week Ruckus. :/

Or DeNooyer on Stadium Drive. Stadium turns into Red Arrow Highway and twists and turns all the way to the lake.

DTW > I-94 (Red Arrow Highway) > M96> Through Kalamazoo > Stadium Drive > DeNooyer > Red Arrow Highway > I-94 south toward Chicago.
