Interior SS badges

Has anyone attempted to remove the badges from the seats or steering wheel? I'm guessing it's stitched on and would be a pain to remove and reattach. I'd like to get all the SS badges painted to match (just had the engine cover done by river city and it got me thinking about this). I don't really want to half ass it. If I do the outside badges I want the insides to match as well. I'm guessing vinyl inserts would be the only option and I didn't really want to go that route. Anyone have any suggestions?

The SS badge on the steering wheel is a cover! The whole black piece pops off,. I'm looking for one that has "RS" on it! Not sure about the "stitching" on the headrest! But I did have mine stitched with the same color (hyper blue)

I'll have to try to pop off the cover on the steering wheel. As for the seats... The SS is an actual metal badge that appears to be sewn on some way.... I actually really like the embroidered RS you have! That's kind of what I'm going for, except just painting the metal badge some way while it's still attached to the seat.

Why would you want to take off your SS badge from the seats and steering wheel?

I just want to temporarily take them off to have them painted... Like river city style. I think it would be difficult to take them off and then replace them once they were painted. I would like blue/black and don't really want to do the vinyl inserts that I've seen are available.

I had it done locally! Just about any embroidery place can do it! If you can take them a SS badge, they can get it digitized and it will be identical to the badge! That's what I did!

12rallysport, First of all the embroidery is awesome. Second how did u remove the headrest from the seat. Other threads show "cannot be removed". Also did u remove the headrest skin to take to embroidery or just take the whole headrests.

The cover will come off. It takes a little patience though! I couldn't figure out how to get the whole thing to come out! I did have to get in the back seat and lean the seat all the way forward to get the cover off!!
