You basically have to be with the car at all times. You could take it out to dinner, but not to a store. You could however drive it to a weekend auto show. Its mainly for Sunday drivers.

I also inquired about insuring the ZL1 with Nationwide a month or so ago. The rep told me at the time that they didn't have the required data from GM to generate an accurate quote and used an SS to base it on.
Grundy does they offered to insure my 2010 Camaro but mine is a daily driver so no they will insure all years.

Awesome!! I have family that live in Michigan and ordered mine up north! Figured I'd make a vacation out of it while I pick up my car! Plus I didn't want to have to pay any mark-ups for it! I knew that if I had ordered from Reliable in ABQ, they would have jacked the price 10-20K. I wasn't going to deal with that!

I may need to call them then if their restrictions aren't unreasonable.

I'm thinking my insurance should be about 600 a year.

I will not be paying a mark up. We have 2 dealerships and one is fair no mark up and the other has put $5000 on top of sticker... Each dearler is only getting one each. I put my name on the order list last april as soon as I heard about it from the Chicago auto show. It has been a really long wait for me...

Guys, I really appreciate all the input. The ZL1 was is going to add about $25 a month on top of my SS policy. My Zl1 is going to be a daily driver (even though I don't my drive daily), so I am just trying to get the best rate from the best company I can.

I'm going to check out State Farm at some point, once I know the car is on it's way.

I think I am going to avoid Geico, and I have had issues with Progressive in the past. I'd rather stick to a reputable company.

You will be quite pleased no restriction on the miles per year the only thing they require is you have a primary source of transportation and your collector car is garaged other than that they never request a mileage check in or report your miles yearly. Other companies like Hagerty will not insure us and they limit you to if I recall 2500 miles per year or less.

Thanks. The only problem I have is a speeding ticket less than a year ago that Nationwide is not counting against me under accident forgiveness. I may have to wait before using Grundy, but a phone call wouldn't hurt.

I have ran the office in our family owned body shop for several years now. Progressive has improved alot in the last few years as far as claims handling goes. I would stay away from Gieco for sure. State Farm is by far the best here in GA as far as claims & vehicle repair go. I haven't had any experience with Gundy or Hagerty. I would be glad to tell about any other companies I have experience with if anybody has any questions.

My quote in Naperville, IL is $332.70 every 6 months. This is added to an existing policy. They quoted the 2013 vert, so it may change a little.
