Ss2 VVt cam without stall for daily drive

I wanted to go for SS2 VVT cam. And later on plan to add 3400 stall.
How it will daily drive without converter. I drive 30 miles daily. And do only roll race occasionally. I dont want to go for ss1. As I need big power. Any experience?

BTR stage 2 VVT cam with 3.91 rear, car drives fine. Could use some more brake vacuum going down the driveway, but it hasn't suffered from cam surge. You can tell that you wouldn't want to go much bigger with out a new stall, but completely functional.

It will not drive very well. It will surge and push against the brakes. I tell people this all the time. It's do-able but not pleasant at all.

My advice is if u plan on big power and a converter later, wait and do the ss3 vvt and converter at the same time.

Stall first cam later. Not the other way around. You will be happier.

I don't find mine uncomfortable at all, but the BTR Stage 2 isn't a large cam either. I wasn't looking for massive power, it was a repair job. Afm lifter failure lead to top end rebuild. I went over budget as it was with everyone making me feel like an idiot trying to keep factory manifolds, so kooks headers and cats went in, begrudgingly. It wasn't in the budget to do a stall. Although the tuner wanted me to, and port/polish the heads. I own a camaro, not a corvette, I don't have corvette money so that's where the line was drawn and I'm satisfied. I'm at 430/398 and happy that it moves at all.
