Last night for Street Legals to night. Although I was pleased with the 1.58 sixty foot from Pumpkin it did not translate to the ET I was looking for. Give it another go with a new Rhino tune a tire pressure change and short shift it.

Short shifted Pumpkin on the last night of Street Legals and picked up a couple of 10th's and back into the 70's. Need to severely short shift it next spring and it should go with the 456 gears. Pumpkin is all stored away now till spring.

DSS is the BEST!

BIG THX to Frank at DSS for coming up with a second 9" housing for me. Now I will soon have 2 complete diffs one 3:70 and a 4:57 spool diff. Now that I don't have to swap the third member in and out of the housing a gear change can be done in 3 hours time. Matter of fact it can be done without even removing the rear wheels. Off with back half of ARH exhaust, Out with DSS Dshaft, un-bolt axels from stubs move axels out of the way. Swap whole diff and re-assemble.

The second 9" 370 Wavetrack diff is together now, ready for the spring swap out now. Hoping for another kick at the can with the the 457 diff at the strip before I change it out for the summer driving season.

Still freak'n cold up here for April but the sun was out today. Pumpkin is in storage still till late April, but got a new helmet today. Maybe one short shift kick at the can at Street Legals before I change back to 3:70 gear set for the summer.

This SUCKS!

$800 to replace the RS headlight. That sucks it's cutting into my fresh set of slicks for the fall DA fund. Early spring weather up here was wet and I had to do the 9" diff swap back the 370 street gears without a trip to Sreet Legals this spring.

2-step Info

I get a lot of PM's in regards to the Lingenfelter CTAP and 2-Step so I thought I would share the info and set up, not that I havn't in the past. I launch Pumpkin at 4800 and 1.58 sixty foot is the norm with the 4.57 DSS 9"spool setup. With the 2-step you simply and quickly lift your foot off clutch pedal, no feathering it.

These are the CTAP settings I am currently using.

PLEASE NOTE: I'm using a DSS 9", shaft, axels and the stock diff will not stand to the M6 abuse that I currently mead out. I killed a couple dead over the years. I have know idea what HYSTERESIS does other then the setting you see seems to work for me.

Headlight Replacement

Got Pumpkin in a hundred pieces today. Just got to wash and scrub the inner fenders and wheels and put it back together tomorrow. I suspect the water is getting through the rear headlight bulb access port. Being that I don't use the drip trays with the Hex vents I suspect thats the issue when I wash Pumpkin. Considering a bit of black silicone to back up the o ring.
