USB Flash replugging

Hello. Anyone plz can tell em if its normal. I have 2gb flash drive. Every time, when i turn engine off and leave usb flash drive plugged in and then start engine, i have to replug my usb flash drive. If im not doing so, i can see only AUX, CD and RADIO. Is it normal and if it is not, what can i do to not to unplug and replug my usb flash drive every time? Thank u very much.

I believe the PDIM update from your dealership should take care of this issue.

I'm not sure where you'd get that done in Belarus, though

For now I think you'll just have to live with it. There should be a website fairly soon that is being created so people can update their PDIM's to the latest firmware without having to take it to a dealership.

Hopefully this will be done soon so you can get it fixed...

Yeah, mine does the same exact thing. My dealer says they can't update my PDIM for some reason, so they ordered me a new PDIM. Haven 't gotten it installed yet since we have a shit load of snow here. Hopefully soon.

Thats good info - is GM setting that site up ?
I put my car in for service and specifically asked that the dealer update the code and they did not seem to understand - so car came back with exact same code level :-(

I'm not sure if it's GM setting up the site, or if they're just contracting it out to the same folks who designed the PDIM firmware originally.

codeman is the one who posted that they were working on the site, but I don't think he's a direct employee of GM.
