6.2L BOSS Engine found in F-150

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/17/6...rley-davidson/

Just a look at what Ford has up their sleeve.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

LS3>6.2 BOSS

But yes, it looks like this will get more competative.

I wonder if the new GT will be more 'raw' than the SS which so far has been described as very civilized.

GM already has the 6.2L that makes 403 HP/ 417 LB that can now be had in the 1/2 tons. They just need to slap it into a reg cab 2wd and have a real Silverado SS...

I'm hoping that Ford will come out with a Boss Mustang with that engine. You know it's detuned for the trucks.

This is too big, heavy, and fuel slurping for the Mustang. It's a truck engine.

I bet so,which even if it's still a tick slower with a 5.0L,it might seem faster or more fun or more challenging to get the best lap times out of. Some people like that kind of stuff.

I think if the Mustang can retain being a performance car, still put up good numbers, stay raw, and be MORE FUN than the SS it will outsell it.

i dont like this, but the average consumer is very mustang-friendly. And if it were to stay raw, with matching performance + the weight adv. the enthusiasts will be all over it as well.
