Same thing happened to my car two weeks after ownership when i took it in so they could repair the non-working DRL.

they fixed it for free (of course) and they put me in a rental for a week or so while they straightened everything out.

man that really sucks but lets be honest it's not the end of the world. your fender is definitely able to be fixed and i'm sure the dealership will do a good job. and if you aren't happy with the job, make sure they do whatever it takes to make the job right.

all i can say is make sure you're 100% happy with the job they do, whether its with a new fender or a repair job

Lets see a pic, If it can be fixed PDR (paintless dent repair) I highly recommend that route. That way the car stays original. If not, then repair and repaint or replace. If you choose to replace then blending the door and possibly the hood for color match. It all sucks but accidents do happen so dont be to p!ssed, as long as it gets fixed.

Typically, when you take your car into service, the service adviser should do a walk around for any visible damages just so that they are not liable for it. Just make sure to not sign anything or accept the car back until they have it repaired. I would also make sure that they're using an on-site body shop to perform the repairs. Good luck.

I'd take a lawyer with me to the dealership and I'd tell them, "I brought a new Camaro into your dealership, I want a new one back. Not a dented POS."

For Pete's sake... DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!!

Before you have the dealer fix it, check with others who have used the body shop. Also, check out highly recommended local shops. The dealer may not want you to take it someplace else, but do what you feel comfortable with.
