Took my car to the dealer today for an oil change and took the TSB with me so they could check the VIN.
Service manager fired the car up , listened for a bit at idle and after raising it up to 1,500rpm.
Confirmed I have the rattle, and will be ordering the SC in the morning.
No arguing at all.

They probably looked in the wrong spot.

Tell them to look under "Applicable Warranties" it will show:

Special Coverage 13313

For a '12 it's there. They probably looked where the recalls are listed. It is not a recall, it is a special coverage extended warranty listed with the rest of the warranties.

This is what my dealer told me. They want to hear the car run and if there is a rattle, no questions asked, order new SC. If there is no rattle, then nothing but if and when the rattle starts, no questions asked, order new SC.

Considering the issue of the new TSB and the number of people that will be taking their car in, I wonder what the availability of replacement SC's will be.

Will they be able to deliver new ones quickly, or will there end up being a several week waiting period for new ones to ship.

Bought a used zl1. Service records show SC was replaced at 30k miles. No other warranty work done.
