Hell, I'll rent one for a couple days just cuz I'm an addict and it's a long while before some of us are going to sit in our own.

Once they really get up and running and get plenty of them out to the AVIS outlets, I'll have to rent one for a few days just for kicks. I'm not planning to buy until 2011, so a week with one this summer will be good way to whet my appetite.

I cant imagine Avis getting a camaro before someone who ordered the car. GM makes more selling to dealers than to avis i would imagine. IMO

I agree! I haven't had mine on order close to that long but still. Places like this should not get orders filled before the consumer does.

It's on the site, but if you try to reserve one you get a message that it's not available and are told to make another selection. I guess that AVIS is just getting ready by updating their website.

I noticed right away that there were a b*ttload of cars going to the Moreno valley dealership.... I've had my order in since Oct. 13th and still can't get it built, but hey, I guess it's more impotant to get them out there as rentals then to make the cutomers who already ordered happy .......

Do the math on what they are making off of these rental cars. Selling cars to themselves. Looks good on units sold list.. Thats what ford has been doing for years with the F150 trucks. Most are sold to Hertz and rented out. ( I work in a refinery they are everywhere)

It is definitely on their site but I can't find any locations that actualy have it. I'm guessing when they get em it will probably be all 1LS models. If they get any SS models they will probably be around the it costs to rent a Vette which is like $180 per day.

I can't believe they did that....Maybe a couple years later? They should have been worried about getting them to the people that have ordered them and getting them on the dealers lots to show and sell. Just doesn't seem right......I guess the know what they are doing.
