I keep my keys out of my pocket on a carabiner. But yes, the trunk button is the biggest button on the fob on manual transmissions . Maybe I am accidentally hitting it? This is pretty frustrating . I am glad to know that I am not the only one at least, this has been driving me insane. The other thing though is if I am accidentally hitting the trunk button, why not the alarm which is the same size? Or any other buttons? It literally is only the trunk which opens constantly.

I refuse to pay almost $9 in shipping for this. So unless they drop their shipping fee, I won't buy. This can't weigh more than a couple of ounces. I buy cigars in wooden boxes that come from the other side of the country and pay half that for shipping.
I agree that GM should do something about this though.

Not sure how it is specifically designed, but I hit the trunk button about 20 times as much as the alarm. I think I'm just going to quit wearing pants and wander around in my boxers. Problem solved.

I keep my keys on my belt and when I first got the car I always accidentally opened the trunk when sitting down in customer's cars at work. I got used to holding the keys a certain way but I'm glad I'm not the only one

The Cruze/Sonic/Regal/LaCrosse part is different than the Camaro part (different footprint). The service bulletin issued by GM was for the cars that use the "MICRO-ISO" footprint, but not on the Camaro, which uses the "ISO-280" footprint.
